Purchasing and refunds
All book prices are displayed and charged in pounds sterling (£). Any prices quoted in other currencies are intended for guidance only.
We aim to reflect the most accurate information on book pricing at all times. Items are supplied at the publisher’s recommended price except where a discount or special offer has been applied.
Occasionally publishers can increase their prices unexpectedly. In the event that this occurs or in the event of a pricing error we will contact you to see if you still wish to receive the item at the new price or to cancel your order.
Wisepress aim to deliver your goods within the quoted delivery times. In the event of a delay we will notify you by e-mail.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of receiving the order. All returns should be securely wrapped and sent with the original packing slip and cover letter to explain the reasons for return to Wisepress Ltd, 25 High Path, London SW19 2JL, UK.
Wisepress will refund all items received in their original condition including the original delivery charge. Any postal charges for the return of an item are the responsibility of the customer. However in the event that your item is received damaged or faulty you must notify Wisepress within 7 days of receipt of the goods and depending on the circumstances we will offer a full refund including the postage costs to return the item.
EBooks cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged unless faulty. EBooks are deemed delivered to the purchaser upon provision of the download file and any faults must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
A customer may cancel an order either before or up to 7 days after the receipt of the goods. Notification must be made in writing either by e-mail or by post to firstname.lastname@example.org or Wisepress Ltd, 25 High Path, London SW19 2JL, UK. A full refund will be offered providing the goods are returned to Wisepress in their original condition.
In the event that a despatched item is delayed or assumed lost in transit, Wisepress will replace or refund the item after the following periods:
- 15 business days after despatch if the item is sent by standard post within the UK
- 20 business days after despatch if the item is sent by standard air mail to the EU and Europe.
- 30 business days after despatch if the item is sent by standard air mail to the Rest of the World.
Courier ‘signed for’ deliveries will have a full tracking facility; however Wisepress will endeavour to assist customers with any issues that may arise.
Wisepress will supply goods to credit account customers upon receipt of an official purchase order number. This number will be verified by us before any orders can be processed. Invoices will be raised once the goods have been delivered. Payment of invoices must be received within the agreed credit terms and Wisepress reserve the right to take further action in the event of a non-payment.
When you choose to register with Wisepress.com, you will be required to choose an e-mail address and password. You will be responsible for any activity taken under these details. Passwords should be kept safe and must be changed immediately if they have been compromised. If any of your details change you must update your account as soon as possible.
All information given to Wisepress is stored securely and is not accessible to any other user.
Wisepress will not divulge any information concerning customers to any third party that would be in breach of the Data Protection Act.
Wisepress will not transfer any data outside the EEA (European Economic Area) without prior consent.
Wisepress uses Secure Socket layer (SSL) encryption to ensure the highest security for credit card and personal details submitted over the internet.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
VAT is not payable on books but it will be applied at 20% to all multimedia products and any other non-book related items. All prices displayed on Wisepress.com are inclusive of UK VAT.
Orders shipped outside the UK may be subject to local import duties or taxes. Any charges incurred upon receipt are the responsibility of the recipient and Wisepress cannot be held responsible. Any goods returned due to unpaid taxes will not be refunded however we will re-send the goods upon prior consent and at an additional postage charge.
No change or refunds in cash or to a credit card will be given where the sales transaction is less than the balance of the gift voucher. Any balance leftover will be carried over as credit against another purchase. Gift vouchers can only be redeemed against purchases made via Wisepress.com.
Promotional codes and discounts
Wisepress may often provide customers with a promotional code or news of special offers in the form of a discount which shall be redeemed at the checkout process. These discounts are only applicable to online purchases via the Wisepress website and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer; the higher discount will always apply.
Bundled offers such as ‘buy one get one free’ and ‘3 for 2’ are only valid for the products mentioned within the promotion and the discount will apply to the cheapest item or items.
Returns for any free items included in a promotion will not be replaced or refunded.
All offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn by Wisepress without notice.
Customer Reviews and Ratings
If you would like to review an item you must be a registered user.
Wisepress reserve the right to not publish any material which is deemed as unsuitable.
Reviews are solely intended for the physical item and not the services provided by Wisepress. Should you wish to raise a query regarding our services please follow the Complaints and Queries instructions.
Reviews are not confidential and will be visible to all Wisepress users and visitors as well as search engines and other content aggregators.
Any use of profanity, prejudiced language or any other terms of abuse will not be tolerated.
You must not make any potentially libellous comments or mention web addresses, e-mails or telephone numbers.
We expect reviews to be a personal honest opinion of the product in question and any criticism to be constructive and non-defamatory.
Wisepress.com may contain links which will connect you to sites of other organisations. They are provided solely for your convenience and do not constitute any endorsement of any third party products or services. Wisepress accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or information provided from visiting these websites.

Wisepress shall have no liability for any failure to deliver goods or for any delay in doing so or for any defects or damage to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Wisepress reserves the right to amend and/or extend these terms and conditions at any time. The terms and conditions stated above are those currently applicable.
