Exhibition overview
This Meeting is all about the ‘Retina Debate’. An original program is planned to present, share, debate and draw conclusions on the latest retina practice.
In the treatment of retinal diseases, different choices are available. Because of lack of evidence based medicine, decisions are frequently made based on individual consultants experiences. As a result, decision making often differs among colleagues, also related to differences in social environment, access to therapeutic options and social systems. In the LRM 2017, speakers will debate their different opinions for the treatment of various retinal diseases. Moreover, attendees will be allowed to join the debate by a live voting system. The goal of this format, to see how the debates will alter the decision making of the congress participants.
The meeting will start with live surgery on Friday morning. The transmission, in ultra-high definition, will be done from the UZLeuven hospital and simultaneously from operating rooms in other countries.
