MEET THE AUTHOR

Linda Caputi, EdD, RN, CNE, ANEF, is the editor of the “Innovation Center,” a column in the National League for Nursing’s journal Nursing Education Perspectives.
She is a certified nurse educator and a fellow in the NLN’s Academy of Nursing Education. She is professor emerita, College of DuPage, and most currently taught in an online master’s in nursing education program. She has won six awards for teaching excellence from Sigma Theta Tau and is included in three different years in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. The second edition of her book Teaching Nursing: The Art and Science was selected as the winner of the 2010 Top Teaching Tools Award in the print category from the Journal of Nursing Education. She has recently completed a three-year term on the NLN’s Board of Governors.

She is also president of Linda Caputi, Inc., a nursing education consulting company, and has worked with hundreds of nursing programs over the past 20 years on topics related to revising curriculum, transforming clinical education, test-item writing, and test construction, using an evidence-based model for NCLEX® success, assisting with accreditation, and numerous other nursing education topics.
