Exhibition overview
Once again the Conference is being organised in partnership with F-MARC, the FIFA Medical Assessment and Research Centre, hosting the annual meeting of FIFA Medical Centres of Excellence, the international excellence community leading health in and through the game of football.
With nearly 300 million football players in the world, there is a great deal of interest and research in the field of football medicine, particularly Return to Play (RTP) which is the main theme of this year's Conference. It involves a multidisciplinary approach including sports medicine, orthopaedics, sports science, physical therapy, psychology, general medicine, radiology, osteopathy, podiatry, athletic trainers, and team coaches.
The conference will cover three main areas:
Sports and Orthopaedic medicine (groin pain, ACL & cartilage, hamstrings, foot & ankle, Spine),
Rehabilitation and return to sport (range of motion, functional strength, neuromuscular control, skills restoration, prevention), and
Football medicine & player health (concussion, sudden death, nutrition, mental aspects and aging).
