Exhibition overview

This meeting has become the key European forum for relevant, high quality basic science and translational research. The 2015 meeting concludes with a symposium on Microsurgery as a Model for Implementing Tissue Engineering into Clinical Practice. Mr.David Soutar (Past-President of EURAPS and of BAPRAS) will recount how microsurgery was developed and translated into widespread practice. Prof. Stefan Hofer (Wharton Chair of Reconstructive Surgery, University of Toronto & Editor-in-Chief of JPRAS) will instruct on generating academic research from a complex microsurgical practice, and consider future research direction. Two internationally leading stem cell scientists (Prof. Bruno P Péault and Prof. Matt Dalby), will consider the nature of the stem cell, how to rationalize their use in translational research, and how tissue engineering should be rolled out into clinical practice.
