MEET THE AUTHOR

Joseph Lex, MD is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He received his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX, and did his residency in emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Scott H. Plantz, MD is an associate professor of Emergency Medicine at Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL. He is also affiliated with Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Chicago and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Lance W. Kreplick, MD, is Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Regional Medical Center in Bayonet Point, FL.
