Exhibition overview
The Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) was founded in 2005 with the aim of bringing together schizophrenia researchers around the world to exchange the latest advances in biological and psychosocial research in schizophrenia.The Society strives to facilitate international collaboration to discover the causes and better treatments for schizophrenia and related spectrum disorders.
The fourth biennial conference in 2014 was a major success for the field attracting over 1700 researchers from 54 countries. This was the largest schizophrenia research meeting in the world to date. It is expected that the 2016 meeting will draw even more high-caliber researchers in the field of schizophrenia.
The conference will focus on issues for new drug development and the status of new basic and clinical translational research on timely and controversial topics. There will be multiple plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, oral sessions and poster presentations submitted by international researchers on a variety of timely topics.
