Purpose of the Royal College of Nursing Research Society

• To provide research leadership and expertise to support the RCN's strategic intent to influence the development of practice and policy from an evidence base
• To provide support to and meet the needs of members of the Research Society providing a network for sharing experiences and learning and development opportunities

The RCN Annual International Nursing Research Conference is the second largest event run by the RCN. It aims to:

• Bring together researchers from diverse clinical and academic settings from around the world to participate in critical debate
• Promote and develop nursing knowledge
• Facilitate sharing and collaboration between health care researchers
• Help participants to better understand and contribute to evidence-informed policy and practice
