The EPH Conference aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research as well as public health training and education in Europe.

Exhibition details

The theme for the 8th EPH Conference is Health in Europe - from global to local policies, methods and practices. This theme was chosen to encourage discussion on what the role of Europe is at global level and what the impact of global health issues is on European, national, regional and local level. In times of interdependence and interconnectedness at global level, a new vision of cooperative and democratic action at all levels of society is much needed. Through the plenary sessions, this new vision is further elaborated. PLENARY SESSIONS The five plenary sessions are organised on the following themes: Global public health: what is expected from Europe?, organised by the initiator of the conference EUPHA (European Public Health Association). Healthy people, healthy planet, organised by EuroHealthNet. Cross border health threats and health care, organised by the European Commission. Learning from each other, best practices at local level, organised by the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. The global public health professional, organised by ASPHER (Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region)
