2015 Programme Highlights
The 2015 programme addresses the latest key issues in diabetes from basic science, through clinical care and psychosocial aspects of diabetes.
This year’s plenary sessions will focus on the continued search for a cure, diabetes and obesity and the increasingly recognised issue of diabetes and cognitive function.
Diabetes and Primary Care will also feature, alongside sessions addressing the psychological impact of diabetes and how this may be managed.
There will be a strong focus on technologies and the use of social media exploring the increasing role such technologies have to play in diabetes management in today’s society.
Basic science will continue to have a major presence over the first two days and, following the success of the 2014 conference, we have continued to provide a number of symposia that will engage both clinical and basic scientists alike.
Other planned sessions include pregnancy, podiatry, asymptomatic presentation, case study review, diabetes and sensory loss. In addition there will be a number of workshops addressing key issues including psychology and dietetic aspects of care.
